HOW YOU CAN HELP |
|
| |
More than 750,000 Americans will
experience stroke this year; 160,000 of them will die. But
of the four million people who survive stroke, two-thirds
them struggle with disabilities ranging from moderate to
severe. You can help “Strike Out Stroke” in
your community.
Speak Out!
Show your support through word and action. Everyone can
make a difference in the fight against stroke by helping
teach the warning signs and risk factors to others. You
don’t have to be a doctor to save lives. Just be willing
to deliver a lifesaving message to public officials, your
family, your friends and even strangers whenever you can.
Be A Volunteer
Use your time and energy in your community. Find out about
activities, events and volunteer opportunities in your area
to help raise awareness about stroke. Want to do a little
more? Download our Guide to Plan a Community Stroke Event

stroke in your community.
